Private Collectors

Each year new historical documents are discovered in attics, basements, and shoeboxes across the United States. These documents may shed new light on important topics in American History. Several of the collections in Community and Conflict have been donated by private collectors. These collection relate to one or several of the project’s themes, and centers on events that took place in the Ozark region, as defined by the project. The Library District is actively seeking private collections to enhance the understanding of the events that took place in the area. If you have collections that fit within the project’s scope use the contact link to set up an appointment with a Library staff member.
